I went for dinner around 7pm and it was super busy. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table but it is tight inside. it was also quite loud so we couldn't really have much of a conversation. The service was fast for us even though it was super busy! Overall I liked the flavors of the food. The guacamole was one of my favorites, it was a very good balance of flavor, super delicious! The lamb and chicken flavors were also really good but the meat was just a bit dry. I did enjoy the rice and beans on the side of the flautas dish.

Came to celebrate my sister's 30th ! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. So much flavor as well as the drinks. Our waiter Noel was so fun gave great service. There was good music good vibes. Will definitely be back soon :)

Food: 3.9/5 The food was okay. We went there for brunch and we're hoping that regular menu items are better. I had the Huevo con bistec - the steak was a bit bland and the meal was small in terms of portion size. It was one egg. Service: 5/5 Very attentive and friendly. Things were run effectively and the staff made the experience very pleasurable. Ambiance:4.5/5 Pretty cozy spot with a bunch of personality. I love the decor in the bathroom.

Really solid Mexican spot in Crown Heights! I was surprised that my group 4 was seated right away on a busy Saturday afternoon. No complaints here tho! We were really impressed with the aesthetic -- it gave a traditional Mexican feel which was nice. We also really enjoyed our agua frescas! Shoutout to our server for recommending the strawberry one which was a huge hit at our table! Everyone enjoyed their food and the prices here are not bad at all. Definitely will try this place again when craving Mexican.

*** 3.5 stars *** We came here after visiting the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and it was crazy fast. Despite a crowd, we got a table for two within minutes and our tacos also came out within minutes. The shrimp taco was okay (would pass next time) but the mole was great. Two were quite filling and a great deal at $5 and $6. Not the most authentic place, but it hit the spot!

Authentic Mexican brunch! My brother was in town so we stopped by Chavela's for brunch before visiting the Brooklyn museum. He got the Chavella's omelette and I got the short rib hash. We also had the guacamole appetizer. We enjoyed all of our food! For drinks, I started with the Carajillo Iced Coffee Cocktail and then switched to a few Spicy Margaritas which my brother was drinking as well. What's great about Chavela's is that the restaurant is large so we didn't have to wait like most we would at most brunch spots in the area. What sucks is that they don't have a bottomless cocktail option.
